Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Day 2 Box Office Collection: Rajkummar Rao Film Earns More Than Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra'

Raaj Shaandilya's slapstick comedy 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' has struggled to maintain momentum at the box office, despite a decent start.

Raaj Shaandilya's slapstick comedy 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' has struggled to maintain momentum at the box office, despite a decent start. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, the film saw moderate growth of less than 30% on its second day, which wasn't enough to capitalize on its initial performance. Given the just-average collections on day one, the slight increase in revenue is not an ideal trajectory.

Box Office Collection of 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video'

The film opened with ₹5.25 crore on Friday, surpassing Alia Bhatt’s 'Jigra', which also released on the same day. However, by Saturday, the gap between the two films narrowed, with 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' earning ₹6.75 crore while 'Jigra' netted ₹6.50 crore.

The film seems to have been impacted by mixed or negative reviews, with many critics describing it as disappointing or chaotic. Despite praise for Rajkummar Rao and Vijay Raaz’s performances, the overall reception has been lukewarm.

Additionally, the film faced controversy when the makers admitted to using the character Stree from Maddock Universe's 'Stree' series without authorization. Director Raaj Shaandilya issued an apology and confirmed that efforts were being made to remove that segment from the film. The scene in question shows the characters Vicky and Vidya encountering the ghost Stree, but T-Series reportedly did not seek permission from Maddock Films before using their intellectual property.
