Flower Petals Showered On Devotees From Helicopter At Maha Kumbh On Final 'Amrit Snan' — Watch

Flower petals were showered on saints and seers taking a holy dip at Triveni Sangam at the Maha Kumbh on the occasion of Basant Panchmi.

In its third grand 'Amrit Snan' at the Maha Kumbh on the occasion of Basant Panchmi, flower petals were showered on saints and seers taking a holy dip at Triveni Sangam.

As of now, about 62 lakh devotees have taken holy dip, and the Uttar Pradesh government is expecting a footfall of around five crore pilgrims on Monday.

Unlike the Mauni Amavasya dip on January 29 when crowd pressure built up at Sangam Nose, this time due to efforts of the local administration and police, as well as self-awareness, many devotees were seen taking bath at different ghats.

The UP CM Yogi has appealed to the devotees to follow the instructions of the administration. He has strictly instructed the officials that no negligence will be tolerated. With the promptness of the administration and the monitoring of the CM, it is being ensured that the bathing festival of Basant Panchami is safe and convenient for the devotees.

According to UP CMO, Yogi Adityanath has been continuously taking updates on the 'Amrit Snan' of Basant Panchami and giving necessary instructions to the DGP, Principal Secretary Home and officers of the Chief Minister's Office, at the war room of his official residence since 3:30 AM.

The Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13, will continue till February 26.
