Congress Leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan's Son Dies By Suicide In Patna

Ayaan, aged around 18, slept in his room alone at night. When he did not wake up in the morning, the family members went to the room to check.

Khan is originally from Kabar Kothi village of Katihar district.

Shakeel Ahmad Khan Son Suicide: Congress leader Dr Shakeel Ahmad Khan's son Ayaan Zahid Khan allegedly died by suicide in Bihar's Patna. The leader's family and friends thronged his Gardanibagh residence as the news broke out. 

Ayaan, aged around 18, slept in his room alone at night. When he did not wake up in the morning, the family members went to the room to check. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room. Senior police officers and a forensic team reached the spot after the incident came to light. 

Khan is originally from Kabar Kothi village of Katihar district. He studied till graduation from Patna University. He has done MA, MPhil and PhD from JNU, Delhi. After completing his studies, he joined Congress in 1999 and held many posts.

Shakeel Ahmed Became MLA For First Time In 2015

It is worth noting that Shakeel Ahmed Khan contested for the first time in 2015 from the Kadwa assembly constituency of Katihar from the Congress party and became MLA by winning. For the second time in 2020 also, the Congress party gave him a chance and he won again. After this, the party elected him as the leader of the legislative party. Congress has 19 MLAs in Bihar.
