Varisu Trailer Out: Vijay Starrer Looks Like A Family Entertainer Packed With Action

'Varisu' starring Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay will release on Pongal this year.

New Delhi: Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Varisu' trailer is out. Makers shared a family special trailer on social media. Vijay shared the official trailer on his Twitter handle. Soon after the trailer was shared, fans began trending it on microblogging site Twitter. 'Varisu' also stars Rashmika Mandanna, and Prakash Raj. The trailer promises action and a family-oriented film.

Like always, the dialogues of a Vijay starrer are one-of-a-kind. 'Varisu' trailer opens with a happy joint family with two brothers living with their wives and kids and their parents under one roof. Sarathkumar plays the patriarch of the family.  Soon after the youngest son in the form of Vijay is unveiled in classic hero style- slow motion complimented by music. Conflict arises when a business rival of the protagonist's father wants to take down the entire family.

The trailer reveals most of the plot but looks and feels completely different from the kind of films Vijay has done before. During the course of 'Varisu' trailer, we see Vijay's character toil to bring back his family together with blood and brain.

Some fans have also highlighted how in the 'Varisu' trailer, Vijay undercuts his own dialogue from his 1996 film 'Unakkaga', which had some outdated ideas about love.

'Varisu' is a solid family film which promises to be a mass-entertainer. Varisu will be released alongside Ajith's 'Thunivu'. In 'Thunivu', Ajith will be playing the role of a character with gray shades which will be a treat for his fans.

The film has music by S Thaman, who has delivered chartbusters for Vijay. It is also releasing in Telugu as 'Varasudu' on the same day.

'Varisu' will release on Pongal this year.
