Priyanka Chopra Not Doing Jee Le Zaraa Due To Scheduling Issues Not Creative Differences: Report

All 'Jee Le Zaraa' fans who have been waiting for an A-lister women road-trip movie for the longest time, the film has not been shelved.

New Delhi: All 'Jee Le Zaraa' fans who have been waiting for an A-lister women road-trip movie for the longest time, the film has not been shelved. Despite rumours that the Farhan Akhtar film had been shelved because Priyanka Chopra did not like the script were false. As per a new report, scheduling issues were hampering the film's production.

As per a Hindustan Times report which quoted an unnamed publication report from last week, "Priyanka Chopra did not like the script and said no to it. She was supposed to come to India for sister Parineeti Chopra’s wedding and at the same time sign the film’s contract. But things could not be taken ahead because there were creative differences”.

Earlier, Priyanka Chopra was supposed to do 'Jee Le Zaraa' with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.

However, now it is being reported that there is no truth to Priyanka backing out of the film due to script issues. The all girls road trip movie is still on board.

"There is no truth to this story. There were never creative differences. It’s always been scheduling issues that have been going on for quite some time considering everyone has very active careers,” Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying.

"Priyanka and Farhan’s production banner have worked very well and successfully multiple times and know how to create in a professional manner”, the report added.

Earlier, this year in an interaction with Variety.com, Farhan Akhtar said, "We just have issues with dates, and the actor’s strike that’s happened has put Priyanka’s dates into a huge tizzy with what can happen and what can’t, so I’ve started genuinely believing that that film now has a destiny of its own. It’ll happen when it has to, we’ll see."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra are swamped with other projects.
