Delighted that the Lok Sabha has passed the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 after a rich and extensive debate. I thank the various MPs and parties that supported the Bill. This Bill is in line with India’s centuries old ethos of assimilation and belief in humanitarian values.

Nandita Das: The citizen amendment bill completely undermines constitutional values and the rule of law. We need to realise that this is beyond party politics as it strikes at the very heart of the idea of India. It will no longer be the country our leaders fought for. (Credit: Twitter) 'Rang De Basanti' fame Siddharth: Deeply ashamed that Edapadi Palanisamy represents my state and our people. Supporting the #CAB shows his true colours, his lack of integrity and his desperate need to remain powerful at any cost. You will all be held accountable.
