Akshay Kumar’s Coronavirus Ad Film OUT: Actor Urges People To Begin Work & Make India ‘Atmanirbhar’

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar shot for the ad film on COVID-19 during the lockdown in the country. Through the video, he encouraged the people to go to work and take proper precautions against the virus.

New Delhi: Recently, photographs of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar from the sets of a commercial shoot had made rounds on social media. The Toilet: Ek Prem Katha actor became the film star to begin work amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Tuesday released the government-approved ad directed by R Balki to create awareness about post-lockdown responsibilities. The video was shot at a Mumbai-based studio, Kamalistan, ensuring that safety norms were in place.

In the commercial, the Airlift actor can be seen stepping out for work in a rural area wearing a mask. He then engages in a conversation with the sarpanch and apprises him of the precautions to be taken to prevent coronavirus infection.

With Unlock Phase 1, the Centre has introduced certain relaxations to sustain the economy of the country. Kumar, who is seen as the harbinger of social change, lauds the efforts of frontline coronavirus warriors in the video and urges people to begin work.

The official Twitter handle of PIB shared the video along with the caption, "Our battle with #COVID19 is not over, but we will not be afraid of the virus. We will take all precautions and we are going to move on with our lives."

On the professional front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in 'Sooryavanshi' opposite Katrina Kaif. The Rohit Shetty directorial was slated to hit the silver screens in March 2020. However, it could't release on it scheduled date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Akshay's 'Laxmmi Bomb' was also couldn't release in cinema halls due to the Coronavirus lockdown. The film co-starring Kiara Advani is rumoured to get a premiere directly on a leading OTT platform. Grapevines are buzzing with the rumours that the makers of the horror comedy have sold the digital rights for a whopping amount.

The 'PadMan' actor also has 'Bachchan Pandey' and 'Prithviraj' in his kitty.
