Celebrities walked the red carpet with some making headlines with their looks, while others sparking debate on social media. One such look was Mindy Kaling's as she attended Met Gala 2024 in a beige gown that had stark similarities with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's showstopper from the Cannes 2022 look.

Aishwarya Rai's Outfit At Cannes Vs. Mindy Kaling's At Met Gala:

Both the outfits being Gaurav Gupta designs, Aishwarya's gown at Cannes 2022, with its pink and blush tones, is said to have required approximately 3500 hours of workmanship. Every detail, including the silhouette and the trailing veil, closely resembles what Kaling wore to the Met Gala. Gupta's initial creation for Cannes was inspired by the Venus sculpture, flawlessly capturing Rai Bachchan's enduring grace and natural sophistication.

Talking about the outfit, an X user wrote, "I have been wondering where did I see this design before…oh its Aish, our aish from cannes,", while another one said, "Kaling looks beautiful but the look could be a bit different than what Aishwarya wore at Cannes."

Meanwhile, Gaurav Gupta took to his Instagram handle and wrote about Mindy's outfit explaining how it fits perfecting with the theme.
