Malayalam Superstars Mammotty, Mohanlal Bestowed UAE's Golden Visas

Veteran actors of Malayalam films, Mammotty and Mohanlal have been awarded UAE's Golden Visas.

Dubai: Here comes good news from UAE for Mammotty and Mohanlal fans to cherish as the Arab country has selected the veteran actors for Golden Visas.

First Timers

This is the first time when the UAE government has awarded the veteran actors of the Malayalam film industry with the most cherished ticket. Earlier, the visas were given to Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt. As per sources, Mohanlal and Mammootty are said to be receiving the award in the coming days.

Golden Visa for eminent personalities

Golden Visa is a privileged residence visa, which has been introduced by the UAE government in 2019, it allows the actors and other eminent personalities in various fields to live and work in the Emirates without the need of national financial assistance for 10 years, also this visa gets renewed automatically.

The Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai announced the Golden Visas on his Twitter account on August 21, 2021, which marks World Humanitarian Day.

His tweet read, “Tomorrow marks the International Humanitarian Day. We are proud of our country, which has provided more than 320 billion dirhams in aid since its establishment. We are proud of our cadres, institutions, and international humanitarian organizations in the country. We announce the golden visa for the pioneers of humanitarian work in the Emirates. We are not only an economic capital but a humanitarian capital,” Sheikh Mohammed wrote yesterday.

To attract investors

The UAE government has introduced the 10-year golden visa in 2019 in order to attract investors to the country awarding the most cherished ticket to people from various fields. The visa is given to people from the regional entertainment industry, who make cultural contributions by their creativity, including actors, singers, and composers in Arab and across the world.

However, it is a celebration time for Mammootty fans as their favorite star recently marked 50 years in Indian cinema and now he gets the UAE’s Golden Visa along with his buddy Mohanlal. Currently, both the stars are respectively working on Kaamamohitham and Aaraattu that are set to release this year.
