Kartik Aaryan Reacts To Memes About Him Replacing Tom Cruise In Mission Impossible

After 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', and the fact that Kartik Aaryan would be featured in 'Hera Pheri 3' as well, a meme is going viral that states that he might also replace Tom Cruise in 'Mission Impossible'.

New Delhi: The year 2022 seemed to be a game-changer for Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan. From the massive success of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' to reports claiming that he had replaced Akshay Kumar in 'Hera Pheri', the Bollywood actor is rumoured to bag all sequels to be created in Bollywood.

Owing to his performance in 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', and the fact that he would be featuring in 'Hera Pheri 3' as well, a popular meme is doing the rounds on the internet stating that Kartik Aaryan might also replace Tom Cruise in 'Mission Impossible'. Recently, the Bollywood actor opened up about the meme in an interview with India Today, stating that he had laughed it off when he saw it. He said,  "I also laugh at it when I read it. Someone recently sent me a meme that I might replace Tom Cruise in 'Mission Impossible' also. I laughed it off."

Sharing his view regarding sequels, he further told India Today that it does not matter to him whether a film is a sequel or not and that if he liked the story, he would go for it.

He said, "I don't care. Honestly speaking, even if I have done more, I don't count. It is always about the film and not about if it is a sequel or not. I am not thinking like that. I just look at the story, the script. If I like the story, I won't leave it only because someone says it is a remake or sequel. The same person will come and watch the film in the theatre. Why should I disturb my mindset with that?"

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan is all set for the release of his film 'Freddy' on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. In the movie, he plays the role of a dentist but he revealed that the movie had given him disturbing nights.

"I literally dwelled in the world of Freddy while shooting the film. It was important for me to remain in that headspace and go to the set and perform. I got disturbing nights because of 'Freddy' but it was important to be focused on the bigger picture and tried to curtail my regular activities while shooting 'Freddy' so that I could focus on the film and the character," The Times Of India quoted him as saying.

He further added, "Post the wrap, I connected with my friends and family who keep me grounded and that helped me return to reality and normalcy again."

Apart from 'Freddy', the actor will also be seen in Rohit Dhawan's 'Shehzada' and Sameer Vidhwans' 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' alongside Kiara Advani.
