'Has A Role In Making Me A Star': Kapil Sharma On His Equation With Archana Puran Singh

In a recent interview with the Man Magazine, Sharma revealed that Archana Puran Singh played a special role in his career.

New Delhi: Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma who is the face of popular comedy chat show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ will be soon seen in a Netflix special, “I’m Not Done Yet”.

In a recent interview with the Man Magazine, Sharma revealed that Archana Puran Singh played a special role in his career. Singh is a part of Sharma’s chat show and appears as a special judge on TKSS. She replaced Navvjot Singh Sidhu a few years ago when he decided to do politics full time.

She has been a target of various jokes and memes ever since. When asked about her, Sharma said, “Archana Ji has a role in making me a star, because she used to appreciate me so much in my days of competitions, and that’s what an artist needs; it increases morale. There is no formality between us, we are friends, and that is how we can pull each other’s legs on stage."

The two know each other from The Comedy Circus Days. Kapil participated in the competition and won it where Singh was a judge.

The trailer which was shared by Netflix and Sharma shows him joking about his life, wife and kids - son Trishaan and daughter Anayra.

He also joked about his drunk tweets to a politician. One can also spot the comedian’s mother, wife Ginni Chatrath and various other colleagues from the show, including Bharti Singh in attendance.

Sharma had also shared a clip from the show over his drunk tweet issue on his Instagram. He wrote,"Don't tell Netflix that I have leaked the footage."
