New Delhi: Actor Kangana Ranaut is unhappy with the free online encyclopedia Wikipedia as she feels it is ‘hijacked by leftists’. The actress is upset as her birthday date and other informations are incorrect on the website. Kangana took to Instagram stories and clarified that her birthday is on March 23, not March 20, as mentioned in Wikipedia. She also added that most of the information about her is ‘totally wrong’ on the site.
Kangana wrote, "Wikipedia is totally hijacked by leftists, most of the information about me like my birthday or my height or background is totally wrong ... no matter how much we try to rectify it, it's warped again...Anyway many radio channels, fans clubs, and well wishers start to send birthday greetings on 20th March…."
She continued, “I don't mind but honestly many are confused because Wikipedia says my birthday is on 20th March and I celebrate on 23rd March, my birthday is on 23rd March ... please don't go back Wikipedia it's totally wrong and misleading information there, thanks (folded hands emoji)."
On the work front
Kangana Ranaut recently wrapped the filming of Chandramukhi 2. She also penned a note for co-star Raghava Lawrence, by whom she feels very inspired.
Kangana took to Instagram, where she shared a picture posing with Lawrence and wrote: "As I am about to complete my role in Chandramukhi today, I find it very difficult to say bye to many wonderful people that I met, such a lovely crew I had, I didn't have any pictures with Raghava Lawrence sir because we are always in film costumes so this morning before shoot started, I requested for one."
"I am so inspired by sir who is popularly known as Lawrence master because he started his career as a choreographer, actually as a back dancer, but today he is not only a blockbuster filmmaker/superstar but also an incredibly lively, kind and wonderful human being. Thank you for your kindness, amazing sense of humour and all the advance gifts for my birthday, sir. Had such a great time working with you."
The film's prequel, which released in 2005, starred superstar Rajanikanth and Jyothika Saravanan.
'Chandramukhi' was a remake of the Malayalam film 'Manichitrathazhu' and was adapted in Hindi as the Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa'.
In 'Chandramukhi 2', Kangana will be seen playing the role of a renowned dancer in the king's court who's known for her breathtaking beauty.
Besides this, the actor will also be seen in her directorial Emergency, where she will be seen essaying former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and in 'Tejas' in which she essays the role of an Indian Air Force pilot. She also has 'Noti Binodini' in the pipeline.
