Chiyaan Vikram Shoots Final Schedule Of 'Cobra' In Kolkata

Actor Chiyaan Vikram, who had been busy shooting for Chiyaan 60 and Ponniyin Selvan, is all set to join the Cobra team for the final schedule in Kolkata.

Chennai: Director Ajay Gnanamuthu's most anticipated next venture 'Cobra' had been shot in Chennai and now the crew in Joy’s city for the final leg.

Irfan Pathan Debuts

Cobra is a special film in many ways; firstly, Vikram will be seen in several interesting get-ups in this spy thriller drama. This film also features KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty, KS Ravikumar, Miya George, and former cricketer Irfan Pathan, who is making his debut on 70mm film.

The Indian fast bowler plays the role of a Turkish Interpol officer in the movie, who chases Vikram. The Seven Screen Studio has bankrolled the movie and AR Rahman is composing background scores.

Dynamic role

The Anniyan actor plays a powerful role of a genius mathematician in Cobra, who is wanted by cops in various countries. The teaser released in January looked promising and entertaining.

Release postponed

The film was set to release in May 2021 earlier but it was postponed due to the pandemic and the makers are yet to announce the official date of the film release.

Handful of films

On the other hand, Vikram’s tentatively titled Chiyaan 60 is also another gangster flick which will have his son Dhruv Vikram as a debutant. Besides, Vikram’s has collaborated with Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan which is a highly anticipated film amongst fans.
