Twinkle Khanna Reacts To Fake News About Akshay Kumar’s Alleged Clash With Vicky Kaushal Over 'Operation Sindoor'

Twinkle Khanna clarifies Akshay Kumar's involvement in Operation Sindoor after fake news claimed a clash with Vicky Kaushal. Details on the movie, controversy, and real military operation.

Just days after Uttam Maheshwari announced a film titled Operation Sindoor and later issued an apology, author and former actor Twinkle Khanna addressed the controversy and its impact on her husband, actor Akshay Kumar. In her latest column for The Times of India, Twinkle revealed how she confronted Akshay after seeing tweets claiming he was "fighting" with actor Vicky Kaushal over who would make a film based on the sensitive military operation.

Twinkle wrote, “I came across a flurry of tweets and called the man of the house, starting an argument. ‘I just read that you are fighting with Vicky Kaushal over who gets to make a movie on Operation Sindoor.’ He sighed and replied, ‘It’s fake news, and my leg is on fire — I’ll call you later.’ He really should come up with better excuses if he just wants to hang up.”

Later that evening, when Akshay returned home with a bandage on his calf, Twinkle realized he was actually telling the truth. “Apparently, his leg was truly on fire during a shoot. These days, it's so difficult to determine what's real that I find myself questioning every piece of information,” she added.

About the Film 'Operation Sindoor'

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films and The Content Engineer officially announced Operation Sindoor, a film based on a real-life military strike conducted by India on May 6 and 7. The operation neutralized several terrorist bases across the border in response to the April Pahalgam terrorist attack.

The first-look poster features a female soldier in uniform, seen from behind, holding a rifle in one hand while applying sindoor (vermilion) to her forehead with the other. The background includes fire tanks, explosions, and fighter jets, highlighting the action-packed and patriotic tone of the film.

Following backlash, Uttam Maheshwari issued an apology on Instagram, stating that he had no intention of hurting anyone’s sentiments. “I do not want fame or monetization. I was simply moved by the courage, sacrifice, and strength of our soldiers and leadership,” he said.
