New Delhi: Sushmita Sen has always been open about her personal life and has never shied away from talking about her relationships. In a recent interview, Sen shed light on her candid approach to relationships, asserting that her love life has consistently remained 'an open book'. She also spoke about her marriage plans and whether exes can be friends.

In an interview with Indulge, the actor addressed the question of how she maintains composure in the face of heartbreak and said, “Well, my life has definitely been an open book because I have lived it very honestly, and sometimes fearlessly. But having said that, dignity is something that doesn’t just show up in one aspect of your life — it is who you are. So, all the decisions you take, whether they hurt you, whether you are betrayed, or whether you were at fault, don’t matter.”

When probed about the feasibility of maintaining friendships with ex-partners and her prospects of marriage, Sen said in the interview, “Definitely. But I think it’s hard and confusing. Many people can be friends with their exes and not know where to draw the line or have boundaries. But it’s possible because I have seen it happen, and I am blessed to have it in my life as well... Oh absolutely (Will she marry)! It has never been a ‘never’ situation. Be it the biological clock or the right time provided by social conditioning, neither is the right reason to get married. But if the person is right and ticks all the boxes as far as I am concerned, of course, I will get married.” 

Sushmita Sen dated filmmaker Vikram Bhatt in early 2000, she was in a relationship with Randeep Hooda from 2004 to 2006. She dated Rohman Shawl from 2018 to 2021. There are speculations that the duo are dating again because of their recent public appearances.  

In 2022, she was also in a relationship with former IPL founder Lalit Modi briefly. Modi had shared pictures with the actor on his social media profiles, declaring about his love for her. 

Sushmita later called her relationship with Modi ‘just another phase’ in an interview with Mid-Day.
