2024 Hurun India Rich List: Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan has made his first appearance on the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, boasting a remarkable net worth of Rs 7,300 crore. This achievement is largely attributed to his thriving business ventures, particularly his ownership stakes in the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Red Chillies Entertainment. 

Shah Rukh Khan debuts on Hurun India Rich List

Khan’s financial ascent is significantly driven by his involvement with KKR, which recently celebrated an IPL championship win, and his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. These successful enterprises have led him into the ranks of India's wealthiest, securing his place on the prestigious list. 

Shah Rukh Khan is also the most followed personality on the Rich List, with an astounding 44.1 million followers on Twitter. His influence on social media outstrips that of any other billionaire or celebrity featured on the list. 

Close behind in terms of social media presence is actor Hrithik Roshan, who ranks second with 32.3 million Twitter followers. 

Other entrants from the movie industry

In the film industry category of the Rich List, actress Juhi Chawla takes the second spot, with a net worth of Rs 4,600 crore. Chawla is also his business partner, as they co-own the Kolkata Knight Riders. 

Hrithik Roshan holds the third position among film industry figures, with a wealth of Rs 2,000 crore, thanks in large part to his successful athleisure brand, HRX. 

Meanwhile, the iconic Amitabh Bachchan and his family is at the fourth position with the family’s of Rs 1,600 crore, primarily due to strategic investments. Filmmaker Karan Johar, the head of Dharma Productions, round out the top five with a fortune of Rs 1,400 crore.
