Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made his podcast debut on Arhaan Khan’s show, Dumb Biryani, offering a rare glimpse into his personal and professional experiences.

During the candid conversation with his nephew, the Dabangg actor spoke about his journey, emphasis

ing the importance of hard work, discipline, and perseverance. However, what caught everyone’s attention was his brief mention of the time he spent in prison.

Salman Khan on Time in Prison

While discussing the significance of consistency and dedication, Salman underlined that excuses—like needing more sleep—only become obstacles to success.

He said, "I am tired.' No, get up. No matter how tired you are. 'I don't get sleep.' Don't sleep. Do something; you'll automatically go to sleep. So I don't understand these things... I sleep for an hour and a half or two hours, and then someday, once a month, I sleep for seven hours."

Recalling his time behind bars, Salman further added, "Somedays, I'll get a five-minute break between shots, so I'll sleep on the chair. In places where I cannot do anything, like when I was in jail, I slept. I couldn't do anything about it... When it comes to your work or family, the effort that you have to keep on putting in... you just need to be there for friends and family and work."

Why Salman Khan Went to Prison

Salman Khan’s imprisonment was tied to a 1998 blackbuck poaching case. In April 2006, he was sentenced to five years in prison and was lodged in Jodhpur Jail before securing bail a few days later. The case resurfaced in 2018 when a Jodhpur court sentenced him again, leading to another brief stay in prison before he was granted bail.

Salman Khan’s Upcoming Projects

On the work front, Salman Khan will be seen in AR Murugadoss’ action-packed film Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna, slated for an Eid 2025 release. The actor had previously shared a glimpse from the sets, building anticipation among fans. Additionally, he will also star in Kick 2, the sequel to his 2014 blockbuster Kick.
