Salim Khan Admits He And Salman Khan Have Gone Months Without Speaking: ‘Whenever A Person Succeeds In Life...’
In a candid interview, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan shared insights into his dynamic relationship with his actor-son Salman Khan.

New Delhi: Famous screenwriter and the father of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, Salim Khan, has recently talked about their relationship. His fatherly affection for Salman is evident in his unfaltering support of the actor. Though they have a tight connection, the father of three boys and two girls said that there have been occasions when he and Salman have not spoken for months at a time.
Salim Khan discussed his approach to parenting and the special relationship he has with his children, especially the oldest, Salman, in an emotional interview with Magic Moments.
“I have scolded all of them, but Salman has had it the worst from me, particularly since he is the eldest among them. One day, he told me that his habits are very similar to mine. I said, ‘Son, it may be a compliment for you, but not for me. Please understand that I don’t wish you to inherit any of my habits," Salim remembered.
Salim said that he and Salman had gone almost six months without speaking to one another at one point. He shared, "That has happened, yes. If he does something I don’t like or I feel that he has done something wrong, then I don’t talk to him. Then, if I am sitting near the window, he would nicely walk past the parapet. He would sneak out of the house without meeting me. Later, he would come back saying, ‘Sorry, what I did was not right.’"
Sharing his observations on how success can impact personal, Salim Khan added, "Something I have noticed is that whenever a person succeeds in life, they end up forgetting one thing: their growth as a human being. When a cricket player achieves greatness, they only focus on their game and nothing else.”
