Actors Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor are currently immersed in the promotions of their upcoming film, Loveyapa. As part of their promotional activities, they recently appeared on the Bigg Boss 18 finale, hosted by Salman Khan, where they were joined by Junaid’s father, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan.

During the episode, Junaid made a lighthearted remark about his father’s ex-wives, Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta. However, in a recent interview, the Maharaj actor admitted to regretting his comment, acknowledging that he should have ‘behaved’ himself.

Junaid Khan regrets his comment on father Aamir Khan

While on Bigg Boss, Aamir and Salman playfully exchanged phones and browsed through them. At one point, Salman jokingly remarked that there wouldn’t be much to see in Aamir’s phone, given his past marriages.

He quipped, “What do I even see in your phone? Either Reena [Dutta] or Kiran [Rao] would have texted you.” Seizing the moment, Junaid humorously added, “Toh do-do ex-wife ki gaaliyan padh paoge aap (You’ll get to read messages from two ex-wives).”

Although the remark amused the audience, Junaid later expressed regret over it. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, he reflected, “I mean, maybe it was a little out of place. No, I mean, they’re both very, very senior actors, so I think I should have behaved a little more… They both have been doing this for 40 years now and they are both fantastic. So maybe I should have behaved myself.”

Aamir Khan's marriages

Aamir Khan was first married to Reena Dutta in 1986, with whom he shares two children, Ira and Junaid Khan. Their marriage ended in 2002. In 2005, he tied the knot with Kiran Rao, and they welcomed their son, Azad, via surrogacy.

After 15 years together, Aamir and Kiran amicably separated in 2021 but continue to co-parent Azad and collaborate professionally. Aamir recently produced Kiran Rao’s directorial venture, Laapataa Ladies.
