Ira Khan Asks Father Aamir Khan To Correct Paps Pronouncing Her Name As 'Ee-Ra' ; 'AD' Says 'Eye-Ra'

At the wedding reception on Saturday, besides the many celebrities in attendance, a moment has captured the attention of everyone.

New Delhi: Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare's wedding is the first big Bollywood wedding of 2024. Their recent wedding reception in Mumbai was nothing short of a blast. The reception was attended by the likes of almost everyone in Bollywood. The three Khans: Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir had reunited under one roof to bless the couple. At the wedding reception on Saturday, besides the many celebrities in attendance, a moment has captured the attention of everyone.

Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare posed together for the photograohers while the former's father and megastar Aamir Khan played the role of an Assitant Director. 

After one round of pictures with the photographers, Ira turned to her father and askd him to tell the paparazzi the correct pronounciation of her name.

Looke like everyone has been pronouncing her name incorrectly all this whie. The paps had been calling 'Ee-ra' all this while, when her name was corrected by her father as 'Eye-ra'.

“Dad, ask them to pronounce my name correctly,” Ira told her father, and Aamir told the photographers, “Eye-ra, Eye-ra.”

Aamir Khan was seen helping Ira and Nupur pose for the paprazzi together for the first time as newlyweds. He said, "Today I have turned into an AD.”

This is not the first time Ira Khan corrected the paps to pronounce her name correctly. In April 2021, Ira had shared a video of herself teaching the paparazzi to pronounce her name correctly.

In the clip, she is seen explaining to her friends about the misprounciation of her name. She also added that anyone who mispronounces would have to put  5000 in a swear jar which she would donate at the end of every month or year.
