FIR Registered Against Actor Sharad Kapoor For Allegedly Molesting Woman

Bollywood actor Sharad Kapoor, known for his supporting and villainous roles, has been accused of molestation by a 32-year-old woman.

Bollywood actor Sharad Kapoor, known for his supporting and villainous roles, has been accused of molestation by a 32-year-old woman. The alleged incident reportedly took place on November 26, 2024, when Kapoor invited the woman to his office under the pretense of discussing work on video reels. 

Allegations against Sharad Kapoor

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the woman claimed that Kapoor behaved inappropriately upon her arrival. "Upon arrival, she claimed Kapoor was inappropriately dressed and attempted to assault her. Following the incident, she received obscene messages from Kapoor, including a voice note that further distressed her. The victim has sought legal action against him, highlighting the need for accountability in the entertainment industry," Hindustan Times quoted police officials as saying.

The Khar Police filed an FIR on November 27 under Sections 74, 75, and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The actor has also been summoned for questioning as part of the investigation. 

Sharad Kapoor's career

Sharad Kapoor began his Bollywood career with the film Mera Pyara Bharat in 1994. Over the years, he has appeared in several notable films, including Josh alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Dastak, Lakshya starring Hrithik Roshan, and Salman Khan's Jai Ho. 

As of now, Kapoor has not issued any statement regarding the accusations. The case has sparked discussions about workplace safety and accountability in the entertainment industry, with many awaiting further developments.
