Bhansali's 'Love & War' announcement caught everyone's attention in 2024. As fans anticipated the reunion of Bhansali and Bhatt after a super-successful outing 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', they were even more excited about the real life pair, Alia and Ranbir's coming together after 'Brahmastra'.

However, as per the film's status on rating site IMDb, there are chances that Bhansali's former muse, Deepika Padukone, who gave three major blockbusters with him, could feature in a cameo in 'Love and War'. While there is no official announcement supporting this, the film's IMDb page suggests the latest update. Deepika's name is showing up front and centre in the cast of 'Love and War' in the position of a cameo appearance.

If the rumour turns out to be true, Deepika will join Alia, Ranbir, Vicky and also Orry, who yes, has a role in the film. Social media platform Reddit is already buzzing with excitement after the IMDb page news caught many fans' attention.

Deepika & Sanjay Leela Bhansali reunion

If the rumours turn out to be true, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone will join forces after a gap of seven years, since 'Padmaava't in 2018. In fact, Deepika and Ranbir will also come together after more than 3 years. DP, who had made a brief cameo in 'Brahmastra: Part One — Shiva' (2022) last shared screen space with Ranbir in a fuller role in Imtiaz Ali's 'Tamasha' in 2015.

Interestingly, 'Love and War' is different from Bhansali's recent projects that have catered to the period genre. 'Love and War' will be set in contemporary times, Bhansali himself had admitted during an interaction with The Hollywood Reporter India.
