The recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, has left the entire nation grieving. Comedian Bharti Singh opened up emotionally in her latest vlog. While documenting her recent trip to Dubai, Bharti paused to share how deeply disturbed she has been since learning about the attack that claimed 26 lives, including many innocent civilians.

Bharti gets emotional talking about the Pahalgam terror attack

Before diving into her travel content, Bharti took a somber moment to reflect on the heartbreaking news. “I have been sad for the past few days, I don’t know whether anyone would understand my feelings. I keep seeing the devastating videos and posts about Pahalgam and Jammu & Kashmir on Instagram, and it breaks my heart. I am unable to express how I’ve been feeling after seeing all of that. Even during the flight, I was in tears. I even cried two or three times at night after watching those heart-wrenching visuals. Those young children… I don’t even want to talk about it,” she shared, clearly shaken.

Bharti Singh recalls annual trips to Vaishno Devi

The comedian also recalled how annual pilgrimages to Vaishno Devi were once a joyful tradition for her and her family. Expressing how the recent incident has affected her sense of security, she said, “For us, Vaishno Devi used to be our biggest trip. One trip a year to Vaishno Devi, and we’d have a great time. Similarly, every middle-class person in India has made plans to travel somewhere within the country. But ab bhut zayada darr lagne lagg gaya hai. Main iss baat par kya bolun samajh hi nahi aaraha. Please yaar shaanti banaye rakho. Bade pyaare log hai!”

The Pahalgam terror attack

On April 22, terrorists targeted a group of tourists in the scenic Baisaran meadow of Pahalgam, opening fire in one of the deadliest attacks the valley has witnessed in recent times. The attack left 26 people dead and several others injured.

The horrific incident has sparked nationwide outrage, with Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, and others publicly condemning the violence.
