Arjun admitted to his mistakes and accepted responsibility for his marriage's failure. “I came from a broken home when I was young, and for me to not have succeeded in marriage was something which I really had to look back upon and see how did this go wrong and how did I not see... then I realised why it went wrong and what the things were, and I take responsibility for it,” Arjun said.
Talking about his current relationship with his ex-wife, Arjun said, “Today touchwood, we are all very close. We are very loving towards each other and we will always have each other's backs. So, the thing is you don't have to be living under the same roof. You don't have to be bound down by a piece of paper or separated by a piece of paper.”

The 51-year-old actor explained why he is unwilling to marry Gabriella. He said, “It’s not me, it’s not her, but marriage is just a piece of paper. We are already married, and there is no doubt about that in my mind. But sometimes what that piece of paper can do is change you. You’re just legally bound in a way, but it could change your attitude towards each other. In both our minds, we are married to each other."
