Since being uploaded on April 25, the teaser has been widely circulated across social media platforms, fueling misinformation.
The teaser sparked controversy after a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in Punjab alleged it was a deliberate attempt to provoke the Sikh community by portraying a Muslim actor as a Sikh guru. According to Dainik Bhaskar, BJP Punjab spokesperson Pritpal Singh Baliawal has filed a complaint with the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). He also urged the Punjab Police, Cyber Cell, and security agencies to trace the perpetrators’ IP addresses and make immediate arrests.
