'Brahmastra Part 2' To Bring Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor Together?

Even before ‘Brahmastra’ has hit the screens, the second part of the film is making a buzz with the rumour that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone would headline the cast, along with the Part 1 pair.

New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’ will release on September 9. The film, which has been in the making for many years now, is one of the most awaited films of the year. It is the first part of the trilogy and the beginning of India's first original universe, the Astraverse. The film aims to create a very own fan base of the Astraverse, perhaps similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Even before ‘Brahmastra’ has hit the screens, the second installment of the film is making a buzz with the rumour that star couple Ranveer Singh and his actress wife Deepika Padukone would headline the cast, along with the Part 1 pair.

According to Bollywood Hungama, a source said: "No doubt, it will be a casting coup if Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh are in one film! However, it will be important to maintain that each has integral parts.

"As for their roles, Alia and Ranbir will be seen as their respective characters from Part 1, and will have stories that run parallel to each other."

The source according to the portal added that "filmmaker Ayan Mukherji is making a big-ticket franchise that will be interlinked and actors will be seen playing cameos at the end of the film, just like we see in Marvel movies".

'Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva' also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.

Brahmāstra is a new original universe inspired by deeply rooted concepts and tales from Indian history but set in the modern world, with epic storytelling of fantasy, adventure, good vs evil, love, and hope; all told using cutting-edge technology and never-seen-before visual spectacles. The story is set in modern-day India, against the premise of a secret society called the Brahmānsh; who generation after generation have protected many divine ‘Astras’ (weapons) that were created in ancient India and safe-guarded from the eyes of the world. The most powerful and the most deadly amongst these divine weapons; the Lord of all the Other Astras - named after the most powerful weapon of the Gods, the Brahmastra, is now waking up. And it threatens to completely destroy the universe we know today.
