Drugs Case: Mumbai Court Rejects EX Bigg Boss Contestant Ajaz Khan’s Bail Application
According to the latest update, Ajaz Khan’s bail has been rejected by Mumbai's Esplanade Court earlier today.
Mumbai: Actor Ajaz Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) earlier this year in relation to the drugs case. The actor was arrested after an 8-hour long interrogation by the investigating agency on March 31, 2021.
Now, according to the latest update, Ajaz Khan’s bail has been rejected by Mumbai's Esplanade Court earlier today. A report in ANI reads, “Actor Ajaz Khan's bail application rejected by Mumbai's Esplanade Court. He was arrested in connection with a drugs case.”
Ajaz Khan is allegedly accused of being part of the Batata gang. His name came to the forefront after the arrest of drug peddler Shadab Batata.
Also, after conducting raids at different properties of Ajaz Khan in Andheri and Lokhandwala, NCB recovered banned drugs including Alprazolam tablets. Though Ajaz said that the drugs found in his residence were used by his wife as sleeping pills as she has been battling depression after a miscarriage.
The investigating agency, on the other hand, revealed that they have recovered WhatsApp chats and voice notes between Ajaz Khan and Shadab Batata, son of Farooq Batata. Farooq Batata is allegedly the biggest drug supplier of Mumbai and his son is accused of supplying drugs to Bollywood celebrities in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, speaking about Ajaz Khan, the actor has participated in Salman Khan's popular reality show 'Bigg Boss 7’ and has featured in films like 'Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap', 'Lamhaa' and 'Allah Ke Banday'.
