Bigg Boss Season 19: Shikha Malhotra's Daring Take Creates Buzz

Shikha Malhotra, rumored for Bigg Boss 19, criticised contestants Tanya Mittal and Kunika Sadanand's "misleading feminism" in a viral video.

Bigg Boss 19 is warming up, with in-house conflicts making the headlines. Actress and nurse Shikha Malhotra, in the meanwhile, has turned viral after sharing a video that expressed surprise at Tanya Mittal and Kunika Sadanand's attitude. Shikha has been in the headlines since the beginning of the season as a rumored wild card entry.

Taking a straight swipe, she equated the two to "partners in crime" and labeled their position "misleading feminism." In her own voice: "Real feminism is about responsibility and equality, and not about making a big noise or abusing an opportunity to send the wrong message."

Her incendiary comment rang true with audience members and went viral in a matter of minutes on social media, with many calling her "fearless," "tough," and "right on the money."

Wild Card Entry Speculation

Shikha's name has been doing the rounds of BB19 wild card gossip since day one. Asked about it in a recent podcast interview, she was forthright: "If you can't withstand controversy or trolling, this profession isn't for you. If Bigg Boss invites me, I'll go gladly."

That frank reply got her labeled as a "rumoured contestant," and her recent statement has only fanned the rumors.

A Tale of Struggle and Resurgence

Apart from acting, Shikha is also a nursing officer. Even after having screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Fan, she opted for service over glamour during the Covid pandemic, serving as a frontline nurse.

She herself developed Covid, and then had a stroke that left her half-paralysed. It took her two and a half years to recover from this. She struggled back, managing acting as well as nursing again.

Making Waves Outside the House

Without even entering the Bigg Boss house, Shikha Malhotra has turned out to be one of BB19's most controversial and popular names. Classified as the "rumoured wildest card entry," the million-dollar question now is if her brazen views will finally get her inside the house.
