‘Bigg Boss 14’: Devoleena Bhattacharjee To Replace Vikas Gupta?

New Delhi: The ongoing season of ‘Bigg Boss’ has been creating a lot of buzz on social media owing to its controversial content. Though the show did not manage to top the TRP charts, the makers left no stones unturned to grab the audience’s attention. Recently, Vikas Gupta, who entered the ‘Bigg Boss 14’ as a challenger, had to walk out of ‘BB14’ owing to his health issues.

However, according to a report by a leading entertainment portal, Devoleena Bhattacharjee has been roped in by the makers of ‘Bigg Boss 14’ to enter the house as Vikas’ proxy. Reportedly, the ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ actress is currently quarantined in a hotel before she enters the ‘BB14’ house as a contestant on Monday. A source informed TOI, “We approached Devoleena after Vikas’ exit and she was happy to come on board. As of now, the plan is to divide her quarantine time between the hotel and the secret room. A few days later, she will be moved to the secret room inside the house, where she will be able to watch all the other participants and understand their game from close quarters before making an entry herself. She could enter the secret room on Monday. Everything was finalised in a jiffy and we are looking forward to her stint on the show.”

On a related note, while Devoleena was a contestant in the thirteenth season of ‘Bigg Boss’, she also had to leave the house due to some medical issues. Vikas Gupta was then roped in by the makers of ‘BB13’ to fill in Bhattacharjee’s place.

Devoleena is popular for her role as ‘Gopi Bahu’ in ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’. The actress is also a trained classical dancer and she first got noticed when she auditioned for ‘Dance India Dance 2’.
