The production company alleged that Rawal had accepted Rs 11 lakh as a signing amount and had already filmed a teaser alongside Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, which was scheduled for release soon. As per reports by Bollywood Hungama, Rawal has returned the Rs 11 lakh advance payment, with 15% interest, along with additional compensation for backing out. His total fee for the film was reportedly set at Rs 15 crore. Meanwhile, production sources suggest that actual shooting for Hera Pheri 3 was planned for 2026 and, so far, only the promo has been filmed.
