Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan Movie Sets Destroyed Due To Cyclone Tauktae; See Video
Unfortunately, this is the second time that 'Maidaan' has suffered a big blow. Earlier, a 16-acre set built for the film was dismantled in May 2020 owing to the COVID-19 lockdown.
The Tauktae cyclone led to a massive destruction in various parts of Mumbai. And the after-effect of the Tauktae cyclone too was no less than a disaste ruining many properties. Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn’s upcoming movie Maidaan’s set too was destroyed due to the cyclone. According to the reports, the makers of the film tried their best to save the set but all in vain!
As per a report in ETimes, there have been no casualties but the set which is situated in the outskirts of Mumbai has been completely destroyed by the cyclone. A source told the publication, "There were about 40 people on the set when the cyclone hit the 'Maidaan' set- the guards and the curators of the football ground which largely comprises the set. They tried their best to save as much as they could but their efforts proved almost totally futile."

'Maidaan' is based on the life of the football player, the late Syed Abdul Rahim and south Indian actress Priyamani plays the female lead in the film.
Apart from Maidaan, the sets of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 was also ruined because of the cyclone.
