Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP accuse the Gandhi family of corruption and having illegal sources of income, while the Congress defends Rahul Gandhi and his kin. But the question does intrigue the nation. Rahul Gandhi's net worth from all his income sources is around Rs 20 crore.

The answer to the question has been answered by the Gandhi family scion himself in his Lok Sabha nomination affidavit. Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday filed his nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. In the affidavit, Rahul Gandhi declared various personal information, such as marital status, details of property owned, permanent address, mutual funds and shares held, criminal cases involved in, number of dependents on him, etc.

Criminal Cases Against Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi has declared 18 criminal cases pending against him, most of which are of defamation. He was sentenced to two years imprisonment by a lower court in the 2019 Modi defamation case. However, the Supreme Court later issued a stay on Rahul Gandhi's conviction.

What Is Rahul Gandhi's Bank Balance?

Rahul Gandhi has two savings bank accounts — one at SBI and another at HDFC Bank. He has a cumulative bank balance of Rs 26,25,157 in the two accounts. He also has cash amounting to Rs 55,000 in hand. 

Rahul Gandhi also holds shares and bonds worth Rs 4,33,60,519 in several companies. Further, his investments in mutual funds amount to Rs 3,81,33,572 (Net Assets Value). Apart from these, Rahul Gandhi has invested Rs 15,21,740 in sovereign gold bonds.

Rahul Gandhi Property Details

He has also declared two plots of inherited agricultural land in Mehrauli, New Delhi. Both are jointly held with his sister and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. He also owns two commercial properties in Gurugram.

Rahul Gandhi declared a total income of Rs 1,02,78,680 in his last Income Tax Return for Financial Year 2022-23. Rahul Gandhi revealed several sources of his income. This includes rental income, MP salary, royalty income, interest from banks, bonds, dividends and capital gains from mutual funds, shares and other income.
