Background

Tamil Nadu-Puducherry Exit Poll Results: Tamil Nadu and Union Territory of Puducherry went on polls in a single phase on April 6th, 2021 and the results will be declared on May 2. The main battle in the southern state of Tamil Nadu in between AIADMK & DMK. While the AIADMK, allied with BJP, is seeking a third term in the Tamil Nadu assembly election; DMK led by Stalin has emerged as a strong challenger. The newly formed Makkal Needhi Maiam of Kamal Haasan has also contested the polls in alliance with some regional parties. 

In Puducherry, the BJP has contested the polls in alliance with the AIADMK and AINRC while the Congress has allied with the DMK. AINRC chief N Rangaswamy has announced as the NDA’s chief ministerial candidate while UPA has not made its CM candidate’s name public. 

Ahead of the final result day, ABP-Cvoter analysed all the factors and understand how people voted and what dominated their minds at the time of voting. The results of exit polls for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will be broadcast after 7pm. Stay connected!

In Greater Chennai region, while DMK –led alliance is expected 11 to 13 seats, the ruling AIADMK coalition can get 3 to 5 seats.
