BJP has created history and this has happened because of the rigorous work and impeccable planning and management by our PM Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah,” said Prasad.

New Delhi: Terming BJP’s victory in Karnataka a historic event, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad heaped praise on PM Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah for their role in initiating a comeback of the saffron brigade in Southern India. BJP has emerged as the single largest party showing strong signs of attaining the magic figure of 112 seats to form the government in Karnataka. As per the latest trends, BJP were leading on 112 seats, while the Siddaramaiah-led Congress were reduced to 68 seats. (LIVE RESULTS OF KARNATAKA ASSEMBLY ELECTION) “It’s a historic day, under the leadership of PM Modi, BJP has created history and this has happened because of the rigorous work and impeccable planning and management by our party president Amit Shah,” said Prasad. BJP’s performance this year is a huge improvement from their last outing in 2014, where they could only hold on to 40 seats. The BJP-led government is set to return after its stint in 2009, in which they had won 110 seats, appearing as the single largest party. “It’s time that people should stop putting us through examinations. We have excelled in pretty much every election barring a nominal few from 2014 and this victory in Karnataka proves that the country believes in growth, holding the hands of the central government.” Prasad concluded.
