The Congress has alleged that the BJP is attempting to poach its MLAs to join its camp so that the road gets easier for the saffron party to form the government. Karnataka Congress MLA DS Holageri had on Thursday stirred up the apprehensions when he said that the BJP had invited him for talks but he chose not to go. Later Congress MLA Ramalinga Reddy said “after the police was withdrawn from outside Eagleton Resort (where Congress had lodged its MLAs), they (BJP) came inside & offered money. Constantly they have been calling people on phone.” On Wednesday, JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy made a sensational claim accusing the BJP of offering Rs 100 crore to each of his MLAs. "JD(S) MLAs are being offered Rs 100 crore each. Where is this black money coming from? They are supposedly the servers of poor people and they are offering money today. Where are the income tax officials," Kumaraswamy asked.
