HP Elections 2022: Over 74 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections that ended on Saturday, with the largest and lowest turnouts occurring in the districts of Solan and Shimla, respectively, news agency ANI reported.
The Doon constituency in the Solan district had the highest voting percentage, 85.2, according to the Election Commission's official data on constituency-wise poll percentage.
Shillai seat in Sirmaur district came in second with 84.1 percent of the vote. 82 percent of voters turned out in the Seraj constituency in the Mandi district, placing it third.
According to official data, the Shimla (U) constituency in the Shimla district had the lowest vote rate of 62.53 percent out of Himachal's 68 assembly seats.
The Nainadevi seat in Bilaspur came in second with 80% of the vote.
Nachan in the Mandi district of Sirmaur received 79.25 percent of the vote, followed by Manali in Kullu, which received 79 percent of the vote.
Each of the Una district's Gagret and Haroli seats as well as the Jubbal Kotkhai seat in Shimla saw 78% of the vote.
The Sundernagar seat in Mandi came in second with 77.37 percent of the vote. Mandi's Balh, Kulli's Banjaar, and Una seat (of Una district) each received 77 percent of the vote.
The Mandi district's Karsog seat saw 76.53% of the vote, Drang seat saw 76.5% of the vote, and Sarkaghat seat saw the lowest voting percentage at 68%. Among the five constituency seats in the district, the Solan constituency's 66% voting rate was the lowest, according to official data.
