After landing at the Ahmedabad airport on Sunday evening, Prime Minister Modi went to meet his mother Hiraba at her residence in the Raisan area of Gandhinagar to seek her blessings ahead of the polls.

He spent around 45 minutes with her before leaving for the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters “Kamalam” in Gandhinagar. There he was received by Amit Shah, state BJP president CR Patil, and other senior leaders.
