Senior Congress leader from Bihar Shakeel Ahmad announced his resignation in a big jolt to the party as the voting ended in the state. Ahmed was a former Minister of State for Home Affairs in the UPA government. He has sent his resignation to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
