Video Shows Swati Maliwal Refusing To Leave After 'Assault', AAP MP Says Clip Shared 'Without Context'

Swati Maliwal Assault case: A video of an alleged incident involving AAP MP Swati Maliwal and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar has surfaced, showing Maliwal arguing with security guards.

Amid the raging politics and claims of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal being attacked by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar, a video of the alleged incident has surfaced. In the shaky video, a woman, purportedly Swati Maliwal, can be seen sitting on a couch while a few security guards are requesting her to leave. The police have taken cognisance of the video and are investigating it.

Swati can be seen arguing with the people who are believed to be security officials at the CM's residence. She can be heard saying that she had called the 112 helpline and that she wouldn't leave the place till the police arrived. "If police comes, they will have to wait outside. So, please come with us outside the house," a security guard can be heard requesting her. In turn, she tells them that she would have their jobs if they tried to physically lead her out. And then, she can be heard hurling expletives at someone.

Check out the video below. However, ABP Live does not confirm the veracity of the clip.

Swati Maliwal Says Video Shared By 'Hitman'

Reacting to the video, Swati Maliwal on Thursday said that the video was shared out of context by a 'political hitman'. "Like every time, this political hitman has started efforts to save himself. By getting his people to tweet videos without any context, he thinks he can save himself by committing this crime. Who makes a video of someone being beaten up? The truth will be revealed to everyone as soon as the CCTV footage of the house and the room is checked. Stoop to whatever level you can, God is watching everything. One day, the truth will be out in front of the world."

Delhi Police said it is working to find the source of the video and the person who recorded it. The video which is only a few seconds long, shows a glimpse of the drawing room. According to police sources, the people seen in the video will be questioned about the day. They also said that there is a possibility of more videos. The police will also review the register that records the names of people entering the Delhi CM’s residence and check how many people entered that day. Based on the video and the names in the register, their mobile phones will be combed for any evidence. In case there are CCTVs installed in the drawing room, those will be looked into as well.
