Security Beefed Up At Delhi Borders Due To Farmers Protest March, Section 144 Imposed
Security has been heightened at the Delhi-Noida, Chilla border due to the farmers' protest march.
New Delhi: In view of the farmers' protest march, security has been stepped up at the Delhi-Noida and Chilla borders on Thursday. According to a police official, Section 144 has been imposed, and all the borders have been sealed for 24 hours. Heavy security has been deployed at all borders, the official further stated.

DIG, Addl. CP (L&O), Shivhari Meena said, "Section 144 has been imposed & all the borders have been sealed for 24 hours. Heavy security deployment at all the borders. Arrangements have been made so that the people do not face any trouble. Security has been heightened. We are in talks with the farmers...All the vehicles are being checked."

Commuters Advised To Avoid Certain Roads
The traffic arrangements have also been made, and commuters have been advised to avoid certain roads, news agency PTI reported, citing officials.
The Delhi Traffic Police has said that heavy traffic is expected on the routes connected to Soniya Vihar, DND, Chilla, Gazipur, Sabhapur, Apsara, and Loni borders on Thursday, PTI reported. In view of the arrangements, the commuters have been asked to avoid or plan their journey accordingly.
