Delhi Man 'Throws' 2-Year-Old Son From First Floor After Fight With Wife, 'Jumps' From Third Floor

Man Singh came to meet his wife and children on Friday night when the couple got into a heated argument. He then threw his 2-year-old son from the first floor of the building, the police said.

New Delhi: A 30-year-old Man Singh allegedly jumped from the third floor after throwing his 2-year-old son from the first floor of a building in Kalkaji. Both, the accused father and son are admitted to a hospital for treatment, the Delhi Police informed on Saturday.

According to news agency ANI, the accused man's wife Pooja claimed that she had an estranged relationship with him and used to stay at her grandmother’s home with the kids. On the day of the incident, he came to her place, he was drunk and fought with her, the Delhi Police informed the wife as saying.
 
According to a report by NDTV, the father-son duo has been admitted to the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) with serious injuries. Puja was staying at his grandmother's home in Kalkaji along with her two children.
 
The report mentioned the police as saying that Man Singh came to meet them last night when the couple got into a heated argument. In a fit of rage, Man Singh took his 2-year-old son to the balcony and threw him 21 feet below on the concrete, police said, as per NDTV. He then jumped off. 

As per the police, a case of attempted murder has been registered against Man Singh.

In another incident, a Delhi school teacher was on Friday detained for allegedly hitting a class 5 student with scissors and pushing her off the first floor of the school building.

The class teacher, employed at Prathmik Vidyalaya in central Delhi's Model Basti area, was identified as Geeta Deshwal. She first hit the girl with a pair of scissors and then threw her off from the first floor of the school building, police said.
