'Tanashahi Macha Rakhi Hai': Sanjay Singh Lambasts BJP In First Speech After Getting Released From Tihar Jail

AAP MP Sanjay Singh attacked the BJP, saying that because of the saffron party, dictatorship is prevailing in the country.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh comes out of the Tihar Jail after the Supreme Court granted him bail, in New Delhi.

Sanjay Singh Bail: In his first speech following release from Delhi’s Tihar jail on Wednesday, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that dictatorship is prevailing in the country because of the saffron party. "They want to break the AAP...'Tanashahi macha rakhi hai desh ke andhar' (Dictatorship is prevailing in the country)... I was in jail for six months, and every worker, and leader of AAP is standing with Arvind Kejriwal," AAP MP Sanjay Singh said.

Singh attacked the BJP-led Central government and said that the government wants to arrest AAP leaders, including Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, and Raghav Chadha. “You want to topple Arvind Kejriwal’s government. You want to scare our MLAs. You will arrest Atishi, want to arrest Saurabh Bharadwaj, want to arrest Durgesh Pathak, Raghav Chaddha, will raid the houses of our MLAs, you want to interrogate Kailash Gehlot for 4.5 hours,” the AAP MP said. 

Sanjay Singh meets party leaders following his release from Delhi's Tihar Jail. The arrest of Sanjay Singh on October 4 last year underscored the third instance of an AAP leader's arrest in relation to the case pertaining to now-scrapped Delhi liquor policy. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleged Singh’s key role as a conspirator in the reported scam, citing his purported connections with suspects and involvement in the illicit acquisition of funds.

'Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia Will Come Out With Complete Honesty'

Sanjay Singh exuded confidence and said that AAP leaders, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, will come out of jail with complete honesty.

"Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, everyone will come out with complete honesty and the locks of the jail will be broken. Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi & Saurabh all said that we did not do any liquor scam... BJP said it because they did the liquor scam. They took Rs 55 crore bribe from Sharad Reddy...He put a pin on the deck of Rs 55 crore and then BJP made him the king," the AAP MP said.

'BJP's Next Name Is Not Bharatiya Janta Party But Bangaru Janta Party'

Continuing his attack on the BJP, Sanjay Singh said that saffron party's next name is not Bharatiya Janata Party but Bangaru Janta Party. "You are questioning a man of corruption who left his IRS job to serve the country...BJP's next name is not Bharatiya Janta Party but Bangaru Janta Party," Sanjay Singh said.
