One person was killed while another was injured in a crude bomb explosion in West Bengal's Purba Bardhaman district, said the police on Saturday.
The explosion went off at around 8:30 pm in Rajoa village under Katwa sub-division, triggering panic among residents, reported PTI. The intensity of the blast was such that the tin roof of the house where bomb-making was going on blew off, they said.
According to locals, an explosion took place in an abandoned house, often frequented by anti-social elements, allegedly for manufacturing crude bombs.
