Uttarakhand To Teach Chapter On Operation Sindoor In Madrasas
Uttarakhand government has decided to include chapter on Operation Sindoor, which was launched against terror camps in Pakistan and PoJK after the Pahalgam attack.

The Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami-led Uttarakhand government has decided to introduce a chapter on Operation Sindoor in the madrasa curriculum in the state.
More than 50,000 students are enrolled in 451 registered madrasas across Uttarakhand, who will now be studying about Operation Sindoor.
'Operation Sindoor' was launched by India to hit terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan in the aftermath of the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.
During Operation Sindoor, Indian Army carried out seven out of nine strikes from areas south of the Pir Panjal range in Jammu and Kashmir, targeting and destroying terror infrastructure across the border in Pakistan, news agency PTI reported citing a top Army official as saying.
India on early May 7 destroyed nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and PoK in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack. Following the Indian action, Pakistan attempted to attack Indian military bases on May 8, 9, and 10. The two sides reached an understanding on cessation of hostilities on May 10 after four days of confrontations.
"There is no expiry date to the understanding reached between Indian and Pakistani Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) on cessation of hostilities nearly a week back," the Indian Army said on Sunday.

The Army official further stated that Pakistan also attempted to attack a divisional headquarters and two brigade headquarters in India, but no damage was inflicted.
"In retaliation by our troops south of Pir Panjal, around 50 fatalities were inflicted on the adversary as we targeted their military formations," the official said. "We did not target civilian areas, unlike Pakistan."
Meanwhile, Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi on Monday visited Longewala in the forward areas of Rajasthan, where he interacted with the Konark Corps troops and lauded them on Operation Sindoor's success.
He also reviewed the joint actions undertaken in coordination with the Indian Air Force and the Border Security Force.
The Indian Army had undertaken rapid deployment of surveillance assets and air defence systems, in close coordination with the IAF and BSF as part of Operation Sindoor.
