Pune: 3 Shops Gutted As Fire Breaks Out In Pimpri Chinchwad's Kudalwadi Area, No Injuries Reported

A fire broke out in the Kudalwadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad in Pune. Fire department officials said that property worth lakhs was destroyed in the incident. No casualties were reported.

As many as three shops were gutted after a fire broke out at a garment and shoe shop in Maharashtra's Pune. The incident took place in the Kudalwadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad late at night. No casualties were reported and nobody was injured in the incident.

Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Officer Rupesh Jadhav told news agency PTI that fire tenders were rushed to the spot from the four fire stations located nearby. He said that the situation was not good when the fire tenders arrives at the spot, but they managed to swiftly douse the fire. 

VIDEO | "On receiving the information about the fire, we sent fire tenders from four nearby fire stations. When we arrived at the spot, we saw that the situation was a little bad. We swiftly doused the fire," says Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Officer Rupesh Jadhav.

The fire was brought under control after a few hours. Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Department officials also said that property worth lakhs was destroyed in the incident. The cause behind the fire remains unknown.
