'Offer Namaz In Graveyard If...': Bihar BJP Leader Sparks Fresh Row Ahead Of Eid

Bihar Eid News: Neeraj Kumar Bablu stated that road users pay taxes, mosques are for prayers, and religious gatherings are held in designated areas, not on roads.

Bihar News: As Eid approaches, controversies over offering namaz are gaining steam, especially in North and East India. A fresh controversy has erupted over offering namaz. A statement by Neeraj Kumar Bablu, a minister in the Bihar government and a BJP MLA, has caused a political storm in the state.

Neeraj Kumar Bablu stated that if no space is available, prayers should be offered in the graveyard. "No prayer should be offered on the roads. Roads are for travelling only," he said.

Neeraj Kumar Bablu said that those who use the roads pay taxes. "There are madrasas for prayers. If no space is available, there are graveyards. Spaces are being occupied... Prayers will not be allowed on the roads. Night prayers (jagrata) are not held on roads. People hold them in fields or designated sites. The NDA government is one of good governance," he said.

'Ban On Non-Veg Shouldn't Be A Problem'

He also said that a majority of the Hindu community does not eat non-vegetarian food during Navratri. "What is the problem if it is banned? Non-vegetarian food should not be eaten during prayers. There is no problem if it remains banned," he said.

Politics Intensifies Over Offering Prayers On Roads

Following this statement by the BJP leader, the political war has intensified. Dev Jyoti, national spokesperson of the Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP), said, "The BJP's job is to fan Hindu-Muslim issues. This type of statement is given only to distract people from real issues. People's issues are not being heard in the Budget session of the assembly. In the run up to the elections, an attempt is being made to spoil the atmosphere by giving such statements. This is an old habit of the BJP."

"Why doesn't the BJP speak on the problems in Bihar? The public understands. Nothing will be achieved by creating a Hindu-Muslim divide," he said.
