Navi Mumbai To Face 24-Hour Water Cut On These Dates: Check Affected Areas
The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation will impose a 24-hour water supply shutdown from 12 PM on Wednesday. The disruption is to carry out crucial replacement work on the Morbe main water pipeline.

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has announced a 24-hour water supply cut in several parts of the city starting Wednesday. The shutdown, which is being done to carry out essential replacement work at the Morbe main water pipeline, will begin from 12:00 PM onwards on May 14 and will last till noon on May 15.
In a post on X, NMMC stated that the Morbe main water pipeline had frequent leakages due to which the administration decided to undertake the second phase of pipeline replacement work near the Agroli Bridge along the railway track and under the bridge near the Chikhale Village on May 14.
As a result, water supply from the Bhokarpada Water Treatment Plant to the entire Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation area will be shut down. "Residents are kindly requested to note that due to this, there will be no water supply on the evening of Wednesday, 14th May 2025 and on the morning of Thursday, 15th May 2025," the NMMC statement on X noted.

Notably, there will be no direct tap connections on the water pipe in NMMC areas on the affected dates. In addition to this, water supply to CIDCO-administered nodes such as Kharghar and Kamothe will also remain shut during this time.

The municipal corporation has appealed to the public for cooperation during this essential maintenance work. "Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation appeals to all citizens to use water sparingly during this period and cooperate with the municipal administration," the statement read.
The NMMC has also stated that water supply may resume with low pressure and reduced quantity on the evening of May 15.
