A disturbing video of daughters beating up their father in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district has gone viral on social media. In the video, the daughters could be seen beating their father with a stick while the man's wife held his legs.

The video has surfaced just days after the man was found dead, hanging in his residence.

The victim, Harendra Maurya's body has been sent for autopsy, said the police and the examination would reveal if he died by suicide or if it was a murder.

Conflict Between Husband And Wife

Harendra, an electrician, was the father of three daughters and a son. According to the neighbours and relatives, he often quarrelled with his wife, reported NDTV.

On March 1, he hosted the wedding of his two daughters and soon after the event, his wife said she wanted a separation and would shift to their father's home.

This made Harendra upset who locked himself up in a room. When he did not come out, the family started looking for him and he was found hanging, as per the report. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.

The neighbours alleged that he died by suicide due to frequent conflicts at home. However, his in-laws accused Harendra's father and brother of murdering him.

Viral Video Emerges

Amid the allegations, the viral video emerged on social media. The video shows apparently two of his daughters thrashing him with a stick and Harendra's wife holding his legs while he screamed in pain.

Harendra's son, who was also seen in the video tries to stop his sisters at one point in time but gets threatened that he would be beaten up too. As he tries to break free, his wife holds him down while one of his daughters presses his arm with her foot and continues the assault.

The body has been sent to Gwalior Medical College for autopsy, said senior police officer Dipali Chandoriya, adding further action will be taken based on the report.

"We got information that a man has died by suicide. A preliminary probe has pointed to family disputes. We have sent the body for post-mortem and we will probe all the facts that come to the fore," she said.

The police official also said that they have taken note of the video and that the autopsy will confirm the cause of death.
