Miscreants 'Hurl Homemade Bombs & Stones' At Bihar School, Caught On CCTV

A private school in Bihar's Hajipur came under attack when micreants hurled stones and homemade bombs.

A CCTV video from the Delhi Public School is going viral, which caught miscreants hurling stones and homemade bombs standing outside the school's main gate. The incident occurred at Delhi Public School in Hajipur, Vaishali, after which the school authorities filed a police complaint.

In the video, about 10 youths were seen throwing stones and large bricks over the school gate. The footage captured an explosion followed by smoke outside the school's gate after a bomb bounced off the gate.

'Miscreants tried to beat up people inside the school'

On Tuesday, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Om Prakash said that on the evening of March 4, around 10 unidentified people went to Delhi Public School and created a ruckus. He said that the miscreants tried to beat up people inside the school and even tried to loot things.

When he was asked by ANI whether he had seen the viral CCTV footage, he said that while he hasn’t seen the video itself, he has received a description in the complaint, and the police are conducting its investigation accordingly. He further said that a case has been registered with the city police.

Abu Zafar Imam, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Hajipur, told NDTV that no damages were reported. He stated that the culprits are being identified using CCTV footage and local support. The police are investigating all possible angles, including whether the incident was a revenge attack following the recent firing of a driver at the school.
