MP CM's Car Tank Gets Water During Refill At Petrol Pump, Convoy Stops Abruptly. Here's What Happened

During CM Mohan Yadav's visit to Ratlam, over a dozen vehicles in his convoy stalled due to water-contaminated diesel from a Dosigaon petrol pump.

A major lapse surfaced during the Industrial Conclave in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, as more than a dozen vehicles in Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s convoy came to an abrupt halt mid-route.

Initially suspected to be a technical snag, the problem took a startling turn when an investigation revealed that the diesel filled in these vehicles was heavily contaminated with water.

According to officials, all the affected vehicles had refuelled at a petrol station located in Dosigaon. The incident triggered panic within the administration, prompting immediate action. Authorities swiftly sealed the concerned fuel station, and samples of the diesel have been sent for laboratory testing.

In a shocking discovery, nearly 10 litres of water were found mixed in every 20 litres of diesel drawn from the vehicles. Similar conditions were reported across all the vehicles impacted. Even a truck driver, who had filled 200 litres of diesel from the same pump, experienced engine failure shortly after refuelling.

Authorities are probing whether the contamination resulted from rainwater seeping into the diesel tanks or sheer negligence on the part of the fuel station. The incident has sparked questions over the quality control measures in place at petrol stations and raised concerns about whether ordinary consumers might also be receiving adulterated fuel.

Meanwhile, the district collector and the administrative team have launched a thorough investigation. Officials have assured stringent action against those found responsible once the final reports are submitted.
